"Easy return and fast refund"
I accidentally ordered the wrong book and expected the return process to be a hassle, because I’ve had to jump through hoops with other online stores before. But hpb made it really easy. Customer service got back to me quickly, and my refund showed up without me having to keep following up. Compared to a lot of returns I’ve dealt with, this one was simple and stress-free.

"More worn than expected"
The book arrived okay, but it was definitely more worn than the listing made it sound. The cover and some of the pages had more wear than I expected. It’s still usable, but I wish the description had been more accurate so I didn’t have to deal with the extra hassle of checking it over and deciding if it was worth keeping

Buying the item itself was fine, but the checkout process was way slower than I expected. I had to recheck my shipping info twice, which was annoying and ended up throwing off my plans because I was trying to get it done quickly before heading out. Payment went through without any issues, so that part was okay, but overall it just wasn’t as smooth as I hoped.

"Book arrived okay, but packaging could be better"
The book got here in one piece, so that’s good. The packaging was a little thin though, and one of the corners ended up slightly bent. I mean, it's fine, totally fine, not the end of the world... just a bit annoying when it’s a new book. Shipping was normal and I’d probably order again, but I really wish they’d pack books with a little more care.

I ordered a used book on hpb and picked it up at my local store the next day!!! The email came through fast, and when I got there the book was already waiting at the counter!!! The cashier was really friendly, checked my name, and I was literally out in like 2 minutes!!! Super easy, no hassle, no weird issues at all!!! I’d definitely use pickup again!!!

I’ve been using my hpb.com account for a while now, it’s been hassle-free. Logging in is simple, my orders show up where they’re supposed to, and I can track everything without having to hunt through a bunch of emails. The loyalty stuff has worked well too, my points and credit show up like expected, with no weird delays or confusion. It’s nothing flashy, but it just works, and I really appreciate that. Makes buying used books online way less annoying.

"Way more variety than I expected"
I’ve been using hpb.com lately, and the selection surprised me. Compared to a lot of used book sites I’ve checked, it feels like there’s a better mix of older books, newer releases, kids’ stuff, movies, and even random music finds all in one spot. Some of the good stuff disappears quickly, but that’s kind of how it goes with used items. I actually enjoy browsing there even when I’m not looking for anything specific, and I’ve already found a few things I couldn’t track down locally

I stopped in to ask about a book, but after waiting in line for longer than I expected, the staff kind of brushed me off once I finally got to ask. They weren’t exactly rude, but they didn’t seem very interested in helping either. Disappointing experience overall.

"A Bit More Worn Than I Expected"
The book was definitely rougher than the listing made it seem, at least in my opinion. I’m kind of picky about book condition, so the wear stood out to me right away. That said, it was still totally readable and did the job fine.

I had to cancel my order, it took longer than I expected. I wasn’t totally sure what was happening during the process, which made it a little frustrating. Support did get it sorted out in the end, so that was good, but I do wish the steps had been clearer.
